Upon the arrival of your subscription and payment with Taxistop, you can enjoy the specific Home Exchange Insurance. To validate this insurance for your exchange holiday, you need to send us the completed 'Exchange Agreement Notice' form 2 weeks before your departure at the latest.

What exactly does this insurance cover?

This insurance covers the civil liability for damage caused by you to the exchange house or its contents during your stay.
It also covers to a certain extent expenses linked with the rent of an alternative holiday house (or hotel expenses), during the insured period, if the home exchange house would unavailable due to fire, water damage, storm damage, theft or nature disaster or due to death, serious injury or disease of your home exchange partners or their relatives once or twice removed. In the before mentioned situations a certain reimbursement can be provided too for plane or train tickets that cannot be used.
The insurance covers accidents that happen to home exchangers on the exchange address.

A franchise of about € 193 is applicable; this amount is linked to the Consumer Price Index.

The coverage is not all-embracing and you will have some of the risks already covered by your own insurance policies (e.g. home or family insurance) but all in all this home exchange insurance is certainly an interesting extra.
