Reducing the necessity of non-work trips

A lot of people use their car to come to work because they combine the home-work trip with other trips: bringing children to school, shopping (at noon or after work). By providing some services at or near the company site, this car use can be reduced

 

Sub-measure 1 Provision of non-work facilities on site

People often drive to work because they combine their journeys, or example taking children to school on the way to work, shopping at lunchtime or on the way home. Particularly when company is located in industrial areas these activities are not possible possible within walking distance. This problem can be alleviated by providing certain non-work facilities at the work site, or in the industrial area.
