The principle is that energy can be saved by reducing the number of "stop and go" movements, reducing acceleration and driving defensively. This is often referred to as "ECO-Driving courses". Such courses can be organised with the help of external experts. Training can include meetings, brochures or manuals as well as practical experience.

Besides energy efficient driving courses, equipment can be installed on the vehicle, for example a fuel consumption display.
